The DS-1064 can only compare with the DS-164, since it hails from the same family of islands for seating with moveable backrests. It is neither sofa nor suite; it is most surely not a row of neatly arranged seating elements. Not in the slightest! It is a living environment that resembles a little cityscape of seating. Its technology is a stroke of genius elaborated from the DS-164-- its backrests can be moved easily to virtually any position desired with a simple push/pull movement.

A comprehensive system of elements affords many possibilities of constructing a living environment to meet one’s own very individual requirements--a variety of designs can be realized that reflect the mood of the moment and enables easy modification over a lifetime of changes it may undergo down the road.

Florinda chairs created for De Padova proved to be a crowd favorite when they were featured during Milan Design Week 2011.

The juxtaposition of antithetical materials like wood and plastic, in the name of aesthetics and practicality of use are the basis of the comfortable, colorful and stackable Florinda chairs.

Designed to erase the boundaries between zones, the Florinda lends itself to a wide range of different interpretations: from the dining area to the home studio. Its contemporary look and versatility enable it to adapt easilty for use in restaurants, cafes and public areas.

Florinda is available in solid beech finish, combined with colorful plastic seat and back. Stackable versions are available, with or without armrests.

Tozeur Floor Lamp

Tozeur means a non-place , and maybe a non-place is every place.

The Tozeur floor lamp is created from extruded polycarbonate and then transformed using an innovative proprietary technique. Inside the lamp are low-energy fluorescent lights, the twisting form camouflages the geometry of the piece rendering it almost impossible to define.

Tozeur: like a tower, an architectural monolith that is incredibly simple but at the same time indefinable. The combination of light and diffusion creates a unique duality: when turned off, it has an intriguing form; once turned on, it is a functional light sculpture for the sophisticated, minimalist interior.

The completely mitred construction and smooth, handleless fronts allow one to generate compositions of line, surface, volume and colour. The fronts close by means of a push-touch system. Vision Elements combines effortlessly with the Vision cabinet system.

Pure

A clean line and exquisite finish are the most prominent characteristics of this modest cabinet system. The name says it all: Pure. The clear form is emphasised by the thin finishing tops. Pure offers unlimited possibilities for variation. One may choose from a freestanding or a wall-mounted model. Fronts may come with or without handles. The handles are available in two widths. The standing cabinet comes standard with a modest support frame. This refined frame may be the same colour as the cabinet; it also comes in anodised charcoal grey.

L-Serie
Studio Pastoe

A frame – that is essentially the core of the L-series design. Its characteristic top and plinth, serving as a frame, provide the opportunity to customise the cabinet with different interiors. The front section of the cabinet is divided in a one-third/two-third setup, resulting in a harmonious and always uplifting appearance. The L-series provides unlimited freedom to innovate, thanks to its flexible height and structural framework. The result may be either an open grid or a closed one.

Tulip & Little Tulip
The Tulip first designed in 1965, spreads its simple half-open petals around the sitter, inviting and warming at the same time. There is a dignified Tulip easy chair and an elegant, 'Little Tulip' armchair. A foot stool is also available.

Ribbon
The iconic Ribbon chair,since 1966, is a paragon of applied art. A beautiful and innovative vision formed using a metal frame with horizontal springs covered with foam and a stretch fabric. The Ribbon chair is a focal point to any room and can accommodate various seated positions.

Orange Slice

Anyone who sees the Orange Slice chairs in a cluster cannot help but to be touched by the playful composition of form and function. From different visual angles, the Orange Slice shows several stages of 'curl up'. In fact, the Orange Slice seems to change shape every time you look at it. But the one Beautiful thing about the Campo d'Oro tables at Functions is that their beauty lies in offering brillian solutions that simply cannot be ignored.

The Campo d'Oro's intelligent system of "functional transformism" and its expert interplay of a dynamic design is based on the proportional harmony of the trapezoid parts of the top that follow the relationships dictated by the golden section, a classical benchmark of Beauty. Closed, it appears square, while thanks to two side hinges it is possible to vary the form of the top in different combinations, changing the position of the three trapezoid elements that comprise the table. Nothing is left to chance since the Campo d'Oro is engineered to suit any function and offers the freedom in flexibility in living called for in a modern lifestyle. The Fix Table

Three points define a plane, but you don't need to be a design wizard to appreciate the profound simplicity and subtle magic of the Fix table.

How does the glass top float on the legs like that?--is a question everyone wants the answer to when first seeing the Fix table. They grab the glass and try to budge it, but it stays stoically fixed firm to the ground. Wow!

Then they all want to know how the legs could possibly detach for moving. Well, someone else did all the hard work and it does stand firm and the legs are detachable. The base is offered in a choice of Inox (polished stainless steel), or wood finish (light oak, dark oak, teak, or ebony).

Tops include standard size rounds, ovals, rectangles or square. The glass top is offered in standard glass, smoke glass, or extra-light (very clear). We have also made the Fix in custom shapes and sizes, please contact Functions showroom for feasibility.

The Urban bookcase/library system is a series of elements that started with a very simple idea: to create a single module to function as a library that can multiply indefinitely without repetition. The Urban can be used with no constraints and hooks, which allows you to create walls, dividers, verticals, and horizontal angles, small benches, TV consoles, hi-fi storage...or anything else you can imagine.

The apparent simplicity of the Urban library actually conceals a great technological challenge: to deliver an item in a plastic material (polyethylene) with large planar surfaces in rotational molding. Kekazzé by Omar Ronda

Interior Decorative Accessory or Urban Design Element

Designed by Omar Ronda, whose collective Cracking Art’s stated purpose is “…to change the codes for the art of the future,” Kekazzé is a decorative object of pure fun and whimsy that can be used indoors or out.

Each Kekazzé is a certified, numbered and signed work.

Using plastic, which is derived from petroleum, “the natural repository of the planet’s entire history of organic life-forms, from its origins to the present day,” Omar Ronda creates plastic shapes that simulate nature, “so as to reinstate petroleum’s ancient, primary forms of life and imagery. This means turning life back in its tracks, as a way of finding the poetical voice and soul of art.”

Kekazzé is a sort of pot-bellied Kimeroide, evocative of a rooster, pot bellied pig, a dragon maybe, and sporting tennis shoes or perhaps something else altogether? Plastic (polyethylene) is rotationally moulded into an organic form; a dream of what may one day replace all the wildlife in extinction, mixed animals, nice and friendly, to be kept inside or in the garden.

Two versions are available, and one with light.
